Parking at UEA
PLEASE NOTE: By far the best advice for parking when visiting UEA is the UEA's official parking information: PARKING FOR VISITORS
However, since it does not mention parking permits for visitors, here is a little more information...
Specialist MS/MSc Programme Examination and Study Days held on main UEA Campus
For SCM faculty/speakers and students attending Masters Course study days, exams or any other course related events, we can provide 1-day parking permits, costing £5 each.
Please email one of the VLE team (Andrew Simpson or Chris Jones) to obtain a permit before you arrive. You can use this permit to park in most car parks on campus for the full day.
If you have not managed to arrange a permit to be sent to you in time, one can be picked up from the security lodge on your way in. If you are a student, the VLE team will send you information about the ways to pay for the permit.
Study days / assessments held in either Bob Champion Building (BCRE) or Edith Cavell Building (ECB)
Please note when attending a course-related event in one of the above UEA venues that these venues are not on the main UEA campus. There are several options for parking.
Park and Stride
The ‘Park and Stride’ car park (labeled B on the map) is only a short walk to UEA campus or BCRE. This is £1/day. You will need your campus card to swipe into the car park.
Pay and Display
There is a car park opposite the BCRE building (Labeled C on the Map). This is a pay and display car park and open to the public.
No parking on the BCRE site
Please do not attempt to the use the car park on the actual site of BCRE (within the smaller red circle shown on the map). These spaces are not available for visiting faculty or students on the study days.
Park and Ride (to hospital - please note, the Park and Ride Service does not run direct to campus out of term time)
The Costessey Park and Ride runs to the hospital all year round. The journey is approximately 10 minutes to the hospital and allow a further 5 minutes to walk to the BCRE which is based in the hospital grounds.
